ATONIK is a plant growth regulator and biostimulant based on three nitrophenolates, naturally occurring compounds in plant cells, approved and registered in the European Union as a plant protection product. 

Main effects on plants cells are:

• Stimulation of cytoplasmatic streaming
• Promotion of auxin production
• Strengthening of cell walls through increased lignification

ATONIK has many benefits, including regulating flowering, fruit setting, fruit growth, reduces the negative impact of biotic and abiotic stress, helping the plant to thrive throughout the growing season. Healthy growth is achieved even under unfavourable growth conditions thanks to improved photosynthetic performance and better use of available water. Preventive treatment activates plant defence systems, making plants more resistant to diseases.

ATONIK builds better tolerance to unfavourable growing conditions such as drought, low temperature, soil salinity etc. and accelerates regeneration of plants after damaging conditions such as frost, hail, phytotoxicity from use of some less selective herbicides.

ATONIK is safe for honey bees and beneficial insects. It is suitable product for IPM cultivation technology.

ATONIK can be used in tank-mix combination with many plant protection products as well as foliar fertilizers. Synergistic effects are an additional benefit. ATONIK is used at low rates and provides growers with a cost-effective and sustainable solution.

ATONIK is developed and produced by Japanese company Asahi Chemical Mfg. Co. Ltd. and currently used in more than 50 countries around the world. Asahi Chemical Europe s.r.o. is exclusive importer and supplier to national distributors in European countries.

Two formulations are available in EU countries. ATONIK (also under names ASAHI SL, IKASU, JAPONIK) and three times more concentrated formulation ATONIK PLUS (also under names ASAHI MAX, IKARUGA, MIGOTO).
